Photo Black & Color lets you give your photos an artistic look by partially desaturating them. This means that you can convert specific colors in a picture to grayscale and keep the ones you want. The process is quick and easy and it doesn't require any advanced knowledge or skills.

The application is distributed as a single executable file in a ZIP archive, so there is no need to go through an installation process. It works on all popular Windows platforms and it is offered completely free of charge.

Desaturating part of a picture is quite easy. All you have to do is click the colors you wish to keep and click a button on a toolbar. It takes only a second to desaturate the colors you haven't clicked. The kept colors are listed on the left part of the interface and you can remove them from the list, if you wish to desaturate them. You only need to select a color and click a button to remove it.

The software provides you with options for a few fine adjustments. You can increase or decrease the desaturation tolerance, depending on how much of the image you wish to affect. Additionally, you can check a few options, for progressive contours, color gradients and for a Sepia effect.

Photo Black & Color gives you the possibility of making your pictures look more artistic in just a few seconds.

Pros

You can desaturate colors with a single click. The application lets you make a few fine adjustments. Photo Black & Color is free and it doesn't need to be installed.

Cons

The possibility of selecting an area to desaturate by clicking and dragging would be a welcomed feature.
